Who Is the Media Guy?

This is the most fun I’ve ever had.

I get to back up our church’s message with video and graphics. It gives me a great release for my creative energies. It allows me to immerse myself in the message like no one else can.

At 44 years old, I am rediscovering God in ways that I would have never imagined.

I started this journey in Dayton, Ohio when my wife and I left one church and stumbled onto another…then another! We found Jamey Johnson, who became our pastor, our mentor, and our friend. From almost day one, I pledged to help him in anyway I could.

Our journey then took us to Las Vegas for a year, where we were associated with a fantastic church…South Hills. I helped them with their computer and video ministries, and learned a lot in the process.

Then, in September, 2006, we moved to Louisville, Ky, to help launch one of the coolest, most relevant churches anyone could experience: LifePointe Church.

What do I do as the “Media Guy?” That’s simple. I handle the computer during service, create videos that our shown during the message, and manage our website. And I love every moment of it.

I hope you enjoy this blog, as it chronicles some of the daily ins and outs of a new church…from the inside.
